Since I published my video in support of Alex, W7HU, I’ve received a lot of comments claiming what’s occurring on 40M is not jamming. It’s not the Cuban regime doing it. When you compare the signal to what regularly jams Radio Marti, it was obvious then. Others need a bit more convincing.
Using KiwiSDR, I used six different receivers around the United States to sample the jamming signal. It’s then put into an algorithm and predicts the most probable location of the transmitter. Let me also say, I tested this with a friend (KB0TDW) and it’s amazingly accurate when used correctly. It pinpointed him within 50 miles no problem. So what did we find with the jamming signal on 40M?
Well, it’s no surprise. Western Cuba, around the Havana area, is the most likely area for this jamming transmitter based on algorithmic direction finding. For those questioning whether Cuba is jamming to shut down communications during the uprising. The answer is overwhelmingly – YES!
